Arum dress

10 febrero 2016

Sometimes you find the perfect fabric. You love it, and you love also how it feels on your skin, it is flawless... Other times you love a pattern, its shape, its construction... And sometimes, when you combine both of them to create the perfect dress for you, the final result is not what you were expecting to be...

¡me encanta!

It´s been a while since I have the lovely Arum dress from Deer&Doe. It´s simple, but smart. The kinomo sleeves are just awesome and makes this dress different and very special. The back is formed by 3 pieces which makes it that ovely shape without being very fitted. The front pocket gives it a different touch, a fun one... so what can I say, I love this pattern!!

The fabric is from Atelier Brunette, a fabric shop that is on my top list. Everytime I have a look to their website I just get crazy cause I want to buy every single piece of fabric they sell. This fabric in particular is so soft and light that was a great surprise for me when it arrived to my home and I touch it for the first time.

Maybe, some of you really like the final result, and for me, I like it too, but I guess I was looking for another thing, something more... heavy, not so light. I guess I was thinking in a more strutured dress, but, anyway, I have already worn it many times and I´m really enjoying it. I think I´m going to try to find out the fabric that really suits (for me) this dress and I´ll sew it again and I´ll tell you everything about it :)

And that´s all for today´s post guys. Really hope you enjoy it and if you have ever sewed this dress let me know, I would love to learn from your experiences and let me also know what do you think about it, or which fabric did you used... Thank you so much and have a nice week and weekend!
